Cordy Scoggins Hallman

Funeral services for Cordy S. Hallman will be held on Saturday, December 4,
2010 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville with the Revs. E.J. Bradshaw, Scott Burns and Mike Rhame officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery Leesville under direction of Hixson Leesville.
Visitation
will be Friday, December 3, 2010 at 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Hixson and from 8 a.m. until service time on Saturday.
Mrs. Hallman, 84, had lived her life in the Leesville area. While working at the Phoenix Drug Store, she served a young
soldier a soda pop. That young man, Roy Hallman, later became her husband of 68 years. She now joins him five days after his death in their new heavenly home. She was a homemaker that loved to crochet and was a wonderful cook, loving mother,
grandmother and long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church of Leesville.
Preceding her in death was her husband Roy Hallman; son, Kenneth Hallman; and parents Henry and Eva Scoggins.
Survivors are one daughter, Nina Boyd of
Leesville; grandchildren, Joe “Dinky” Boyd and wife Cathy of Slagle, Kenneth and Henry Hallman; great grandchildren, Michael and Sara Boyd of Slagle, and three other great grandchildren; daughter by heart, Sue and husband Jr. Hext of Leesville; one
sister Audrey “Teat” Lawson of Bridgecity, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Jason and Toby Jeane, Jim Ed Williams, Jr. Hext, Mark Bloodworth and Mark Bloodworth II. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Boyd and Leon Deville.
