A memorial service will be held at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church in
Leesville, on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 2 p.m. in honor of Michael Paul Brumfield. After being diagnosed with leukemia in March of 2009, Michael lost his battle and left this earth on Friday, November 26, 2010 surrounded by his family. A
reception will follow in Saint Michael’s Center located behind the church. For those who wish to attend, there will be a mass at 5 p.m.
Michael was born in DeRidder on September 18, 1979. He resided in Leesville and graduated from
Leesville High School in 1997 as an honor graduate. He was named a Louisiana Board of Regents Scholar and was a Louisiana Honors Curriculum graduate. He was presented with the President’s Award for Educational Excellence. Michael attended the
University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette where he resided until his death.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Paula “Pearl” Melson, Benjamin Steele Melson, and his paternal grandfather Robert E. “Bob”
Brumfield.
He is survived by his two children Naomi Cuccio Brumfield and Nathaniel Cuccio Brumfield, his girlfriend Jennifer Cuccio, his parents Ricky P. Brumfield and Charlotte Brumfield, one brother Chad Trotti and his wife Denise
Trotti, his niece Madison Trotti and nephew Matthew Trotti. Michael is also survived by his paternal grandmother Ruth Anna Peavy Brumfield and a multitude of aunts, uncles and cousins.
