Sudie Cluney Rhodes passed from this life on Monday, November 1, 2010 in Leesville.
Visitation will begin today, Thursday, November 4, 2010, at 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville and Friday, November 5,
2010 9 a.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home. Ministers will be the Revs. Wayne LaCaze, W.T. Shelton and Huey Haymon. Burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville, a
dignity memorial provider.
Survivors include two sons, Johnny Rhodes and wife Martha of Leesville and Russell Rhodes and wife Judy of Hineston; three brothers, Leo Liles of Anacoco, Ronald Liles of Jena and Dewey Liles of Rosepine; sister,
Mary Beth Williams of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren, Russell “Jr.” of Bossier, Sharon Reno of Simpson, John Clinton of Vietnam, Erin Caudel of Leesville, Missy Hillman of Hicks and Brian Herrington of LaCamp; nine great grandchildren, Chelsa,
Celine, Keith, Kevin, Kyle, Caleb, Kaden, Gavin and Rylan.
Sudie is preceded in death by her husband Ira D. Rhodes; mother and father, Lizzie Allen Cluney and John Calvin Cluney; son, Keith R. Rhodes; sisters, Francis Bassett, Catherine
Slaydon, Mildred Wisenberger and Helen Haymon.
She was a lifelong resident of Vernon Parish and she had worked at Fort Polk for several years. Sudie was a member of Lillie Pentecostal Church for many years. She was a very loving mother,
