Hettie Rovenia Crescini

Hettie R. Crescini of Anacoco passed from this life on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at her residence.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at 5 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville. Visitation will
commence on the morning of the service at 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Survivors include her daughter, Tina Miers Brown of Anacoco; son, Dempsey “Frank” Miers and his wife Gay of DeRidder; and stepson, Benjamin Joseph Crescini of
Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren, Joshua Brown and his wife Kristin, Kandice Renee Brown and Matthew Schloss; three great grandchildren, Ethan Brown, Alyssa Brown and Natalee Schloss; siblings to include her brother, J. E. Sigler of DeRidder and
two sisters, Vida Myers of San Antonio, Texas and June Knight and her husband Tom of Rosepine; and a host of many other nieces, nephews and family members. Hettie was preceded in death by two husbands, Van F. Miers and Benjamin J. Crescini.
Hettie was a native of DeRidder but had lived in Leesville for 35 years followed by her relocating to and residing in Anacoco for the past six years. She was a civil service employee at Fort Polk for many years. Hettie was a dedicated member of
the Toast Mistress Club, the Red Diamonds Swingers Square Dance Club, the Red Hat Club, the Leesville Garden Club, the Gem and Mineral Club and the Golden Girls Club. She attended First Baptist Church of Anacoco. In her spare time she enjoyed playing
shuffleboard for the American Legion Post 145. She had a passion for flowers and enjoyed working in her yard, making jewelry through beading, painting on canvas, and spending quality time with her family and loved ones to include her beloved pets.
She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her and those whose lives were touched by her. Words of comfort may be shared with her family at www.hixsonfh.com.
