Funeral services for Geraldine Owens Mann, 83, of Leesville, will be held
at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the Walnut Hill United Pentecostal Church, with Rev. Dale Mortensen, Rev. Paul A. Upton, Rev. John Burns and Rev. Mark Christian officiating; the burial will follow at the Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Friends may visit, Friday, October 1 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the funeral home and then Saturday at 9 a.m. until service time in the church. Services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Geraldine,
the daughter of Almon Joe and Nancy Ida Bolton Owens was born on November 16, 1926 in Slagle. She passed away on Thursday, September 30 in Alexandria. Geraldine retired in 1991 from James Red & White Grocery in Leesville. She was preceded in
death by her parents, husband Allyn Mann, sister Verda Walker and her brother Freddie Owens.
She is survived by her daughters, Shirley and Herbert Payne of Atlanta, Ga., Jane and Dale Mortensen of Leesville and Marva and Brent McPherson
of Sulphur; son, Clark “Corky” and Barbara Mann of Leesville; sisters, Vivian and Huey Gilcrease, Nola Faye “Polly” Owens, all of Leesville, and Shirley Bollinger of Alexandria; brothers, Glenn and Pattie Rae Owens, D. L. “Pete” & Dona Owens, all
of Slagle, and Ronnie and Patricia Owens of Alexandria; grandchildren, Allyn “Al” and Amanda McPherson, Carmen McPherson Boggs, Anthony and Shelly Mann, Christopher Mann, Stephani and Dennis Squires, Kathryn Payne and Robert Dameworth and Herbert and
Kim Payne., III; great grandchildren, R. J. Prince, Emile McPherson, Ethan McPherson, Tyler Mann, Desiree Behrens and Abigail Squires.
The great grandchildren will be honorary pallbearers. Memorial donations are to go the Walnut Hill
