Julie Gail Poe White, 47, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September
17, 2010, at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, surrounded by her loving family at her side.
A lifelong resident of Westlake, Julie was born Oct. 15, 1962, in Lake Charles. She was a graduate of Westlake High School and attended Sowella and
McNeese State University. Julie was an environmental scientist for the state of Louisiana. A loving daughter, wife, and mother, Julie will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her loving husband, Billy White of
Westlake; her loving parents, Raymond and Juanita Poe of Westlake; her very special loving stepson, Matthew White of Westlake; her loving son, Evan White of Westlake; her two brothers, Michael Poe and wife, Sonia of Lake Charles and Joel Poe and
wife, Barbara of Slagle; a sister, Ellen Lester and husband, Ron of Knoxville, Tenn.; her loving mother-in-law, Eva Rae Hoyt of Pineville; and a host of sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Her funeral service will be held at
11 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010, followed with a graveside service held at 3 p.m. at Ebenezer Cemetery in Hicks. Officiating services will be Rev. Russell Beard. Pallbearers will be Josh Poe, Zachary
Maddox, Chad Bridges, Tommy Poe, Keith Merchant and Gordon Clark. Visitation will be at the funeral home beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 21, from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, Sept. 22, from 8 a.m. until time of service. Words
