Elbert “Bert” Lingerfelt

Funeral services for Elbert “Bert” Lingerfelt, 81, of Leesville will be
held at 4 p.m. Sunday, September 5, 2010 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Rev. Steve Lora officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery at a later date. Friends may visit from 3 p.m. until service Sunday in the
funeral home. Services are under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Bert, the son of Benjamin and Emma Smith Lingerfelt, was born on August 12,1929 in Chattanooga, Tenn. He passed away on Friday, September 3, 2010
in his residence in Leesville.
Bert retired in 1972 from the U.S. Army after 20 years of service as an E-8, master sergeant and was a veteran of the Vietnam and Korean Wars. From 1974–2004, Bert was a watch repairman for numerous jewelry
stores in Central Louisiana. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 145 and a lifetime member of the Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife Renee Klimach of Leesville; daughters, Evelyn Bowers of Huntsville, Ala. and Peggy
Bollman of Russellville, Ark.; brother, Joe (wife, Sue Bolton) Lingerfelt of Rossville, Ga. and five grandchildren.
The family has requested that memorials be made to Hospice of Leesville, 106 E. Lula Street, Leesville.
