Funeral services for Mr. Travis Marshall Johnson will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2010 in Gravel Hill Baptist Church, in Cravens with Revs. Joey Rudisill and Ken Lowery officiating. Interment will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery
under the direction of Rush Funeral Home in Pitkin.
Mr. Johnson, 75, of Pitkin, entered eternal rest on Thursday, August 26, 2010 in Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, in Alexandria.
Travis was a member of Gravel Hill
Baptist Church and the Louisiana Trail Riders Association.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Johnson; one daughter, Bernadine Johnson; his parents, Irving and Jewel Johnson and two brothers, Marvin and James Johnson.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include two sons, Robert Johnson and Charlie Johnson and his wife, Connie, all of Pitkin; one daughter, Sherry Jeter and her husband, Randy of Pitkin; one son by choice, John Hughes and his
wife, Sybil of Orange, Texas; two brothers, Marvin Johnson of Citrus Heights, Calif. and Wallace Johnson of Pitkin; four sisters, Viola Padgett, Ila Davis, Adra Robinson, all of Hineston and Nola Pelt of Pitkin; four grandsons, Timmy Jeter and his
wife, Tasha, Daniel Johnson and his wife, Kim, John O. Johnson and Jessie I. Johnson and three great grandchildren, Lauren Grace Jeter, Tinslee Jade Jeter and William Cole Johnson.
Pallbearers honored to serve are Timmy Jeter, Daniel
Johnson, John Johnson, Jesse Johnson, Mike Johnson and Gasper Pizzolato. Honorary pallbearer is Robert Johnson.
Friends may call at Rush Funeral Home, Pitkin on Friday, August 27, 2010 from 12 p.m. until 9 p.m. and at Gravel Hill Baptist
Church, in Cravens on Saturday, August 28, 2010 from 8 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m.
