Funeral services for Edward “Ed” Smith, 62, of Leesville, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Crystal Springs Baptist Church in Anacoco with Rev. John Kautz officiating the burial will follow in the Mitchell Cemetery in
Anacoco. Friends may visit from 10 a.m. Wednesday until service time in the church. The services are under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.

Ed was the son of Jesse and Eloise Ross Smith. He was born
on January 31, 1948 in Lake Charles. He passed away on Sunday, August 1 in his residence in Leesville.

Ed was full of life and love! He would also look out his window and watch and wave as his friends would pass by. He loved
“His babies” and truly love his Preacher John and Shelby.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Johnnie, Joe Robert and Victor Smith and his sisters, Sallie Carver and Mollie Smith Knight.

He is survived a brother, Bennie Smith; Sisters, Virginia Ford of Leesville, Linda Lindsey of George West, and Mary Mills and husband Bob of Leesville, and numerous nephews and nieces (Ed’s babies).
