Sgt. Samuel Conley Duggin

Sgt. Samuel Conley “Sam” Duggin, 36, of Bay, Ark. died Saturday, July 10,
2010 in Leesville. He was born in El Paso, Texas, and had lived most of his lifetime in Bay, Ark. Sgt. Duggin was a 1992 graduate of Bay High School and a member of First Baptist Church in Bay. He was in the United States Army where he was a wheeled
vehicle mechanic for the military police. Sgt. Duggin served on combat tour in Iraq after being stationed in Germany and Korea. He was a member of the American Legion in Tiptonville, Tenn. Post 174, and a member of the Arkansas Combat Veterans
Motorcycle Association #7-1. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Conley and Ruby Harris and Sammie Duggin.
Survivors include his parents, Doyle and Lynda Duggin of Bay, Ark.; one brother, John William Duggin of Bay, Ark.; one
sister, Sybil Petty of Bay, Ark.; one grandmother, Johnnie Duggin of Shelbyville, Tenn.; and one niece, Elizabeth Danyelle Petty of Bay, Ark.
A funeral service will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in
Trumann, Ark. with Rev. Terry George officiating. Burial will follow in the Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark.
Military will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brad Swails, Dirk Allen, Vernon Petty, III,
Vernon Petty, Jr., Daniel Storr and Nicki Stephens.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until time of service at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann.
