Wanda Jordan Hoffpauir

Wanda Jordan Hoffpauir, 74, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 11, 2010 where she passed peacefully at her home in Leesville.

Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2010, 10 a.m. at First
Baptist Church of Leesville. Ministers will be Rev. Jerry Penfield and Dr. William Poe. Burial will be at Leesville Cemetery, Leesville, under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville, a dignity memorial provider. Visitation will begin on
Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home, Leesville.

Wanda was born Eddie Wanda Jordan in Robeline on July 27, 1935 and moved from there to Natchitoches. She attended NSU, and after receiving her
degrees from NSU, moved to Leesville and served as both assistant parish librarian and librarian with the Vernon Parish school system, where she served for 25 years as school Librarian at East Leesville Elementary.

She loved
the Lord, her family and her church. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Leesville and served as a Sunday school teacher for 50 years. Her class, The Sarah Class, was very dear to her heart, and she loved each and every member. Prior to
her illness, she was also involved in Vacation Bible School and also served as church librarian.

Wanda is survived by her husband, Ellis (Sonny) Hoffpauir, three sons, Kent and wife Donna, Randy and Phil; two sisters, Juanita
Chamberlain and Faye Robison; one brother, Vernon Jordan; granddaughter, Kendra; grandsons, Wayne, Jake and Josh; five great grandsons, Tyler, Khrystian, Elija, Aidyn, Landon and one great granddaughter, Madelynn. She was preceded in death by her
