Funeral services for Doris M. Thompson, 81, of Leesville will be Wednesday, July 7, at 3 p.m. in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville. The Rev. Melton Mitchell and Randall Bryan will officiate and burial will follow the
Pine Island Cemetery in Pickering.
Friends may visit Tuesday, July 6, from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. and then Wednesday, July 7, from 8 a.m. until service time in the chapel.
Doris passed away Saturday, July 3 in Lake Charles. She
was born December 24, 1928 in Marthaville and was the daughter of Ivy and Katie McGhee Fenn.
Doris was a homemaker, and loved to read. She was a member of the Family Worship Center in Leesville.
She was preceded in death by her
husband, Wilmer Robert Thompson, son, Robert A Thompson, her parents, brothers, Donnie, Bo, and Pete Fenn and sister Opal Martin.
She is survived by her son, Lynn (wife, Janet) Thompson of Leesville; daughters, Sharon (husband, Charles)
Hext of Leesville, and Shirley (husband Rick) Durrett of Jacksonville, N.C.; 9 Grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
