John Arthur Hayes, 46, of Boyce passed away June 27, 2010 at his
residence.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday July 2, 2010 at New Hope Baptist Church, Elmer, with Rev. John Lewing II officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Heritage Rowe Funeral Home of
Leesville.
Friends may visit on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at New Hope Baptist Church from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until time of service Friday.
John is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Patsy Ruth Hayes and
brothers, Tommy and Roger Hayes.
He is survived by brothers, Ricky Hayes of Atlanta, Ga, Ron Hayes and wife Carla of Chandler, Texas, Patrick Hayes and wife Amanda of Houston, Texas; sister, Mary Cranford and husband Van of Leesville;
nephews, Matthew, Ricky II, Mitchell, Nicholas, Roger, Trent, Cory, Thomas and Cameron; niece, Amy “Loulou”; two great nephews and a great niece; partner Paul Eversull; many aunts, uncles and friends in Sabine, Vernon and Rapides parishes.
Also thanks to a very special aunt Edie who stepped in our mother’s place .
John was a very outgoing person and never met a stranger. He was a hair dresser during his working career.
Pallbearers will be Cory Hayes, Roger
Cranford, Trent Cranford, Thomas Hayes, Josh McKay, Joe Paul McKay, John Tegall and Cameron Hayes.
