Lillie Mae Bruce, 91, passed from this life on Sunday, June 27, 2010, at
Leesville.
Her Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at 3 p.m. at the First United Pentecostal Church of Leesville. Ministers will be the Revs. Mark Christian, Rev. George Lee Glass, John Burns and M.C. Green. Burial will
be at Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville, a dignity memorial provider. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.
Lillie is
survived by one son, Larry Bruce and wife Rose of Leesville; daughter-in-law, Linda Carol Bruce of Leesville; brother, Dr. Clarence E. Golemon of Alexandria; grandchildren, Renee Roberts of Parker, Colo., Jamie Bruce of Leesville, Ethan Bruce of
Leesville; great grandchildren, Anthony Roberts of Alamosa, Colo., Courtney Roberts of Parker, Colo., Morgan Hernandez of Oceanside, Calif. Lindsey Bruce of Westerville, Ohio; great-great grandchild, Brookelynn Roberts of Alamosa, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Ray Bruce; her son, Russell Therrell Bruce and her grandson, Norman Glen Bruce.
Lillie was a native of the Hineston-Leander area but had lived in Leesville since the late 1940’s. She was
a homemaker and loved to travel throughout the states. She enjoyed visiting friends and family and drove her own car until health problems caused her to have to stop. Lillie has been a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Leesville since
