Minnie Yvonne West, 87, passed from this life on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at
Leesville.
Her funeral service was on Friday, June 25 2010, 5 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville. Ministers were Rev. Randy Harper and Rev. Wallace Palmer. Burial was at Self Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of
Leesville, a dignity memorial provider. Visitation began on Friday, June 25, 2010 at 9 a.m. until the service at 5 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.
Yvonne is survived by her daughter, Ronaleen Hagan and husband James of Leesville;
sons, Bimbo West and wife Angie of Leesville and Johnny West and wife Vicki of Shreveport; sister, Mary Eloise Talley of Leesville; brother, Joe Gay of Anacoco; four grandchildren, Jamie Busby, Chad Hagan, Courtney Davis and Ryan West; eight great
grandchildren, Kaylee and Kase Busby, Madeline and Saige Hagan, Chelsey West, Skyler West, Cameron Draper, John Wesley Jackson Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband Van West.
She was a life resident of Leesville and a former
credit manager at Bealls Department Store, Top Value Stamp Store and helped operate Vans Esso and the “Y” Grocery. Yvonne was a member of East Leesville Baptist Church and a member of the Anacoco Eastern Star Chapter. Words of comfort may be shared
