Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 4, 2010 at Palm
Mortuary in Las Vegas, Nev., for Bertha Louise Simon, 80, who died May 26, 2010 at her residence. Mrs. Simon was reared in Leesville by her parents.
Mrs. Simon leaves to cherish her memories her sons, Christopher Cooper, Marcus Cooper,
Gregory Cooper, Cedric Price and Kevin Price; brothers, Joshua Bursh, II and Billy Bursh; sister, Theory Warren; 16 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death
by her parents, Joshua Bursh, Sr. and Rosalie Bursh; husband, Austin Simon; sons, Cornell Cooper, Douglas Cooper and Herbert Price; three brothers, Samuel Bursh, Talmadge Bursh and Leander Bursh; and sister, Cassandra Bursh.
Viewing
services will be at 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Pastor Hoit Savage will be the celebrant. Graveside services to be held at 1:20 p.m. on Friday, June 4, 2010 at South Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to
