Funeral services for Pablo Esquivel, 80, of Leesville, will be Saturday 10
a.m., June 5, at the St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church with Father Clemente Mauricio officiating. The burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Leesville. Services are under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of
Leesville.
Pablo, was born on June 6, 1929 in Aransas Pass, Texas. He passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2010, in Alexandria.
Pablo retired from the U.S. Army as an E-6 staff sergeant after 20 years of service; he was a veteran
of the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. Pablo then retired after 21 years from civil service at Fort Polk. He was a member of the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, a member of the VFW in Leesville and the American Legion Retired Post in
New Llano.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dolores M. Esquivel of Leesville; sons, Paul Esquivel (wife, Pat) of Lafayette and Robert M. Esquivel (wife, Marta) of Leesville; daughter, Mary Kennedy of Leesville; brothers, Ramiro
Esquivel of Corpus Christi, Texas, Joe Esquivel of Lubbock, Texas, Reynaldo Esquivel of Bakersville, Calif. and Eddie Esquivel of Corpus Christi, Texas; grandchildren, Max Kennedy, Michael Esquivel, Megan Esquivel, Dylan Esquivel, Tyler Esquivel and
Christine Esquivel; great grandchildren, Kayla Kennedy, Joni Kennedy, Ryne Kennedy and Landon Esquivel.
Friends may call from 12 noon until 9 p.m. Friday, June 4, in the funeral home, with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m.
