Funeral services for Bill Woodward, 88, will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Rose-Neath’s Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Harrell Shelton, associate pastor of Airline Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until
service time at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 21, 2010 at Prewitt Chapel Cemetery in Plainview with Army honors. Officiating at the graveside will be Rev. Nick Hilton.
Mr.
Woodward was born April 29, 1922 to Alfred and Nellie Woodward and died May 17, 2010. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII, the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict and many years in the Army Reserves. He was a retired manager for a
timber mill, past president of the Rotary Club in Sabine Parish and was of the Baptist faith.
His wife of 43 years, Norma Christine Woodward; his parents; four brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
He is
survived by his sons, Randy Woodward of San Augustine, Texas and Gary Woodward and wife Cindy of Many; sisters, Sandy Kelm and husband Kenneth of Boles, Ark., Janet Woodward of Virginia Beach, Va. and Rhonda Terracciano and husband Jeff of
Shreveport; grandchildren, Christi Eaves, Stacie Swilley, Laurie Lyons, Jason Woodward, Haley Buchanan, Ryan Woodward, Justin Terracciano, Will Terracciano, Alexander Woodward and Sarah Terracciano and six great-grandchildren.
