Mary Mayo, 91, passed from this life on May 17, 2010 in Leesville.
Funeral services will
be held on Friday, May 21, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville with the Revs. Craig Ford and Jerry Penfield officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville, a dignity memorial
provider. Visitation will begin on Thursday, May 20 2010 at 5 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home and resume on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m.
Survivors include her sons, Gene Mayo and wife JoAnne, Roger W. Mayo and
wife Cynthia, John W. “Red” Mayo and wife Jeri and Ernest Ray Mayo and wife Peggy, all of Leesville; 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her mother and father, Liddie Legg McDaniel and Willie
McDaniel, and her husband, William Claude Mayo.
She was a life resident of the Leesville area. Mary was a homemaker, but had previously worked as a cook at Byrd Hospital and Leesville Elementary School.
