Funeral services for Patricia Wead, 67, of Carthage, Texas will be held Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 10 a.m.
at the Burr Ferry United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Mike McConnaughey, Rev. Todd Bertram, Rev. Denny Landtroop, Rev. James Herrington, & Rev. Kenneth Grant officiating. Burial will follow in the Burr Ferry Cemetery. Visitation will be held on
Friday, April 30, 2010 from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. at the church and then 8 a.m. until service time in the church Saturday, May 1. Services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Patricia, the daughter
of June Henry and I. V. Austin Pierce, was born on August 16, 1942 in Beckville, Texas. She passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Memorial Herman Hospital in Houston, Texas.
Mrs. Wead was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church, loved to play the piano and taught her children how to sing. She also loved crafts, such as crocheting and she had the ability to make a lot out of a little.
She is survived by her
husband of 43 years, Rev. Ralph Wead of Carthage, Texas, sons, Rev. Ricky Wead (wife, Faye) of Leesville, Rev.Ronnie Wead (wife, Shay) of McCalla, Ala., and Rev. Randy Wead (wife, Tanya) of Anahuac, Texas, daughter, Lori Sharp (husband, Jude) of
Anahuac, Texas, sister, Moza Rae White of Carthage, Texas, 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
