Funeral services for Norman H. Blackwell, 69, of Anacoco will be held Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 3 p.m. at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville with Rev. Edward McGullough and Rev. Gail Welch officiating. Burial will follow in the
Comrade Cemetery in Hutton. Visitation will be Friday, April 30, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and on Saturday, May 1, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home.
Norman, the son of Artie Leroy
and Mary Illa Chance Blackwell, was born on April 1, 1941, in Pineville. He passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at his residence in Anacoco. Mr. Blackwell was a member of Slagle Baptist Church. He loved to hunt, fish and garden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Artie and Mary Blackwell; daughter, Sandra Denise Blackwell and brothers, Ronald Blackwell and Donald Blackwell.
He is survived by wife 43 years, Kitty Blackwell of Anacoco; son,
Rev. Greg Blackwell (wife, Kerri) of Anacoco; four daughters, Patricia Kunsky (husband, Charles) of Anacoco, Teresa Barron(husband, David) of Florien, Gloria Blanton (husband, John) of Anacoco and Brenda Owens (husband, Robert) of Anacoco; brother,
Gerald Blackwell of Leesville; sister, Evelyn Cowling of Mansfield; sixteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.
