Funeral services for Darvis Gordon, 53, of Anacoco will be held Friday, April 30, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Labby Memorial Home in Leesville, with Rev. Wesley Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery in Anacoco.
Visitation will be Friday, April 30, from 9 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home. Services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Darvis, the son of James Freeman and Myrtle Patricia Cobb
Gordon, was born on September 24, 1956, in Port Arthur, Texas. He passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2010, at his residence in Anacoco. He worked in the oil industry and then retired from B & B Trucking.
He is survived by his wife
of 33 years, Brenda Gordon of Anacoco; sons, Derrick Gordon (wife, Carrie) of Anacoco and Jeffrey Gordon (wife, Maria) of Arlington, Texas; brother, Jimmy Ray Gordon of Hobbs, N.M.; sisters, Linda Josey of Anacoco, Joyce Faulkner of Leesville, Saddie
Legg of Leesville, Jo Nell Martinez of Anacoco, Danice Holton of Slagle, Rose Perkins, of Leesville and Elizabeth Philyaw of Ark. and three grandchildren, Craig Gordon, Vincent Gordon and Victor Gordon.
