Versie Lee Stanford, 91, passed away on April 10, 2010 in DeRidder. Versie was born in Turkey Creek and resided in Evans for the past 40 years.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 11, 2010 from 4 p.m until 9 p.m at
Hixson Funeral Home of DeRidder. Visitation before funeral services will begin at 10 a.m at the Galliee Baptist Church in Evans until service time at 2 p.m. with Brother Kenny Lowery officiating. Burial will follow at the Evans Cemetery under the
direction of Hixson Funeral Home of DeRidder.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Thomas A. Stanford; daughter, Essie Jarrell and husband Marlon; granddaughters, Renee Moore and Sarah Thomas; grandsons, Dean Yates and Aaron
Jarrell; five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Versie was preceded in death by her daughter, Naomi Yates and granddaughter, Merry Marleen Jarrell.
