Robert Lewis Martin Sr., beloved husband and father, known to all affectionately as “Daddy Bob” went to
be with the Lord on March 18, 2010, at his home in Houston, Texas at the age of 81 years.
He was born to William Charles (Shorty) and Julie Lewis Martin on February 18, 1929 in Leesville.
Bob spent his childhood years
here and after graduating from Leesvile High School, he served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Free Masons and a dedicated church parishioner at St. Dunston’s Episcopal Church.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of
61 years Mildred Ilene Cox Martin; son, Robert Lewis Martin, Jr. and wife Kirsten; brother, Kenneth Martin, Sr. and wife Lelia; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews who were very dear to him. Bob is preceded
in death by his parents William Charles (Shorty) and Julie Lewis Martin; granddaughter Stacy; and brother William (Bill) Martin. The memorial service will be March 24, 2010 at St. Dunston Episcopal Church, 14301 Stuebner Airline Road, Houston, Texas
at 1 p.m.
