Funeral services for Jasper James Brown, 57, of Leesville were held Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 2
p.m. at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Rev. Danny Slaydon officiating. The burial followed in the Cooper Cemetery in Pickering. Visitation was held on Saturday, February 20 from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Services were under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Jasper, the son of Lee and Annie Rymes Brown, was born on August 15, 1952 in Austin, Texas. He passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Byrd
Regional Hospital in Leesville. He worked in the construction field remodeling and served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Brown enjoyed playing pool, collecting model cars and Coca Cola products.
He is survived by sons, Michael “Son” Brown and
Joshua Brown, both of Leesville; daughters, Rayna O’banion (husband, John Adam Carroll) of Jasper, Texas, Maranda “Mandy” Brown Stroderd (husband, Eric) of Eunice, Tyiree Brown of Leesville and Phoebe Brown of Leesville; siblings, Trisha Brown of
Rockdale, Texas, Sandie Smith of Austin, Texas and Fay Streeter, Norma Ann Keeney and Johnny Brown, all of Kyle, Texas and grandchildren, Triston O’banion, Isabella Brown, Zoe O’banion, Michael Brown, Jr., Brandon Brown, Sean O’banion, Gabriel
O’banion and Zeth O’banion.
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Patricia O’banion Brown; granddaughter, Michaela Brown and siblings, Larry Brown, Marie Brown and June Dougherty.
