Mary Lou LaVergne-Santos departed this life at the age of 62, at the University of Texas Health Science
Center in San Antonio, Texas, Monday, February 8, 2010 at 3:40 p.m.
Mrs. Santos was born April 22, 1947 in Opelousas to the late Walter John LaVergne and Cecilia Guillory-LaVergne. A native of Opelousas, she resided in Houston, Texas
for the past 16 years. While residing in Houston, Texas, she was a member of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, and she was a physical therapy technician at Cypresswood Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Santos was preceded in
death by her beloved mother and father, Cecilia Guillory-LaVergne and Walter J. LaVergne and beloved brother, Lenier LaVergne.
Mrs. Santos is survived by her husband, Louis Santos Sr. of Beavercreek, Ohio; daughter, Sharon Ann Janice
and husband John Sr. of San Antonio, Texas, four sons, Louis Santos Jr. (Veronica) of San Antonio, Texas, Josie Santos of Beavercreek, Ohio, Tony Santos (Kellie) of Odenton, Md., Juan Santos (Jessica) of San Antonio, Texas; six grandsons, John Janice
Jr. (Tanecia) of London, England, Louis Jr., Zane and Cyris Santos of San Antonio, Texas, Antonio and Christopher of Odenton, Md.; three granddaughters, Tonya Marie Janice of Lafayette, Valencia and Christian Santos of San Antonio, Texas; two
great-granddaughters Brittney Nicole Moore and Taylor Marie Janice; five brothers, Alfred LaVergne (Vera), of Jacksonville, Fla., Joseph Norman LaVergne of Houston, Texas, John Carnell LaVergne (Dietra) of Jacksonville, Fla., Joseph Kerry LaVergne
(Billie) and Ronald LaVergne (Debra), both of Port Arthur, Texas; four sisters, Lenora Johnson of Houston, Texas, Nelma Stevens (Albert) of Lake Charles, Eltra Bellard and Roma Nell Jones (Ronald) both of Houston, Texas; a host of nieces, nephews,
relatives and friends.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, February 15, in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Mausoleum under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.
Visitation is
from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday February 14, in Combre Funeral Home with a rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at 9 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. Words of comfort maybe shared with the family at www.combrefuneralhome.com.
