Edith Kyle Murray Spurgeon, 88, passed from this life on February 6, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical
Center in Lafayette. She was born on November 2, 1921 in Hutton to Jannie Burleson Kile and Arra Alford Kile. After Edith graduated from Kisatchie High School, she became a business owner and operator and also a very loving housewife and mother. She
was a member of East Leesville Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Michael Irvin Murray and her previous husband, Melvin Spurgeon. Survivors include her children, Patricia Guilbeaux and husband Kenneth of
Lafayette, Wavelyn Fussell Dillon and husband, James of Tylertown, Miss., Malcom L. Murray of Leesville and Randy I. Murray and wife Deborah of Leesville; 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and
loved her.
Visitation will begin at Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville, Wednesday, February 10, 2010, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Hixson on Thursday, February 11, 2010, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Gil Arthur
