RONALD SETH HOECKER

Ronald Seth Hoecker, 68, was a native of Galveston, Texas, and had been a resident of Vernon Parish for
the past 36 years.
He was a disabled veteran having proudly served in the United States Marines and retired from the United States Army. During his time in the military, he received numerous awards. While serving in Vietnam, he
received the Purple Heart.
He was a retired civil service worker, 4th degree Knights of Columbus, 32nd degree Mason, member of the Leesville and Pickering, VFW Lodge #3106 life member and Shiner, lifetime member of the Korean War
Association, Combat Infantry Badge and Disabled American Veteran. He worked for both Leesville and Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office and was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Michelle Hoecker of
Leesville; son, Sam Hoecker and wife Kim of Leesville; brother, Terry Hoecker of Mancos, Colo.; sister, Brenda Hoecker Hayes of Texas City, Texas; children, Benjamin and Isabella Phillips of Leesville; grandchildren, Ashley and Matthew Hoecker of
Leesville.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Un Oh Hoecker and his parents, Milton Hoecker and Gladys Coleman Hoecker.
Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home, Monday, February 8, 2010, from 10 a.m.
until the time of service at 1 p.m. on Monday. Minister officiating will be the Father Mauriso. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Leesville under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.
