Funeral services for M.L. “Buster” Plummer, 73, of Leesville will be held Monday, January 25, 2010 at 11
a.m. in Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Mitchell Cemetery in Anacoco. Visitation will be Sunday, January 24 from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral
Home in Leesville.
Buster was born on February 7, 1936 in Anacoco, the son of Gus and Daisy Perry Plummer. He passed away on Friday, January 22, 2010 at the St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. He served in the U.S. Army from
1953-1956. He worked in construction for various companies, the last being Tanner Construction. Buster was ordained as a Baptist minister in 1995 and ministered in several churches in Vernon Parish.
Buster is survived by his wife of 44
years, DeAlva Joan Plummer of Leesville; sons, Darrell Wayne Moore and wife, Edith Marie Moore of Slagle, John Dewayne Moore and wife, Patricia of Leesville, Damon Keith Plummer and wife, Brandie of Pope, Miss.; daughter, Sherri Renee Plummer and
fiance’ Mike Perkins of Leesville; sisters, Carrie Ruth Pruitt of Anacoco and Ima Lou Cavanaugh of Frierson; six grandchildren, Haylei Plummer, Hillari Plummer, Megan McKee, Darrell Wayne Moore, Jr., Alex Brown, Katelyn Amber Moore and her husband
Robert Anthony; great granddaughter, Brylee McKee.
