Bessie Lee Steele, 80, passed from this life on December 24, 2009 in Leesville.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2009, at 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville. Funeral service will be
Friday, January 1, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Leesville Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home.
Survivors include her daughter, Caraline Cutler and husband William Cutler of
Augusta, Ga.; Son, Louis Edward of Alton, Ill.; brother, Abe West of Killeen, Texas; sister, Joann West of Leesville; grandchild, Audrey Small of Augusta, Ga.; five great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews,
cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob J. Steele.
Bessie was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Words of comfort may be shared with
