GROVER STROTHER, SR.

Grover C. Strother, Sr., 73, of Wilmot, Ark. entered eternal rest on Monday, December 21, 2009 at Chicot Memorial Hospital in Lake Village, Ark. He was born February 14, 1936 in Oakdale, the son of the late Clint Strother and Mary
McDaniel Strother. He was a supervisor for Brown and Root Construction and a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Eddy Strother, Sr.; two sisters, Thelma Cloud and Tressie Paul; and two grandchildren, Grover
Strother, III and Justin Gunter.
Survivors are his wife of twenty-three years, Kathie Strother of Wilmot, Ark; three sons, Grover Strother, Jr. of Pitkin, Matt Strother and wife, Angie of Hicks and Ronnie Strother and wife, Patricia
of Pitkin; a daughter, Lisa Gunter and husband, David of Pitkin; two brothers, Jimmy Strother of Oberlin and Louis Strother of Oakdale; three sisters, Betty Odom and Elizabeth (Pee Wee) Johnson, both of Oakdale and Ruby Laird of Tioga; eight
grandchildren, Matt Strother, Jr., Tiffany Reed, Ashley Sesvold, Amy Flynn, Kasey Strother, Craig Parady, Travis Gunter and Tracey Gunter and five great grandchildren Keauxdy Strother, Briar Strother, Leah Reed and Tucker Flynn.

Funeral services for Mr. Grover C. Strother, Sr. will be at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, December 23, 2009 in Occupy #2 Baptist Church, Pitkin. His body will lie in state at the church from 9 a.m. until time of services Wednesday. Interment
will follow in Occupy #2 Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
