Funeral services for Edward Rainey Mayo, II will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 21, 2009 in the Gravel Hill Baptist Church in Pitkin with the Reverends Larry White and Chad Longino officiating. Committal services will follow in the
Gravel Hill Cemetery under the guidance of White Oaks of Oakdale.
Edward, 53, of Anacoco entered eternal rest on Thursday, December 17, 2009 in Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. He was born on October 31, 1956 in
Victoria, Texas to the union of Elmer and Ruth Louise Wynn Mayo. He was a Baptist by faith, a parts manager for Gray Nissan, a 1974 graduate of Leesville High School and a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend.

His parents; paternal grandfather, Edward Rainey Mayo, I and grandmother, Sally Elizabeth Mayo, precede him in death.
Edward leaves behind his loving family to cherish his memory; wife, Pat Mayo of Anacoco; three sons,
Michael Wayne Mayo of FL, Eric and wife Samantha Stanley of Leesville and Timothy and wife Virginia Stanley of Pitkin; one daughter, Angela Christine Mayo of FL; two sisters, Pamela Holloway of Newhall, CA and Margaret Williams of Baytown, Texas; two
brothers, Robert Mayo and Kenneth Mayo, both of Houston, Texas; 10 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Joseph White, Jason Whitaker, Michael Williams, Eric Stanley and Timothy Stanley.

Friends may call on Sunday from 3 p.m. until time of service on Monday in the church.
