Funeral services for John Darrell Canady, 62, of Leesville will be held Thursday, December 17 at 3 p.m.
in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville with Rev. John Burns officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 16 from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. at the funeral home and on Thursday, from 8 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will
follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Leesville. Services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Mr. Canady, the son of Harold and Velma Lee Arrington Canady, was born on November 7, 1947 in Leesville.
He passed away on Friday, December 11, 2009 at the Willis Knighton Health Care Center in Shreveport. He served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Canady loved antique cars, working on them and rebuilding them. He was a musician and played the guitar and drums. He
also loved to fish.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Patricia McInnis and Betty Canady.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Canady of Leesville; sons, Kevin Smith of Evans, Hershel Smith of
Anacoco, Ray Canady Sr. of Lake Charles and Timothy Womack of Leesville; daughters, Marsha Perkins of Lake Charles and Amanda Canady of Leesville; brothers, Lonnie Canady of Leesville, Gene Canady of Leesville and Ellis Canady of Baton Rouge; sister
Marie Canady of Leesville; twenty grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
