Paula Hornsby passed from this life on December 2, 2009 in Tyler, Texas. She was a native of Oakdale and
grew up in Pitkin. She was a graduate of Pitkin High School with the class of 1987. She worked as an LPN at several hospitals in Oklahoma.
Survivors include her husband, John Hornsby of Whitehouse, Texas; children, Shasta D. Sweat and
Jonathon R. Hornsby, both of Whitehouse, Texas; brother, William “Bill” Kemp of Pitkin; sisters, Debra Wilson of Hicks and Kimberly Kemp of Little Rock, Ark.; and five nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held today, Sunday, December
6, 2009, from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 7, 2009, at 10 a.m. at Hixson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fullerton Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.
