Carter Wayne Martin, 50, of Anacoco passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 in Alexandria. He was born on June 9, 1959 to Austin and Zelma Dean Goins Martin in Pineville. He was a 1977 graduate of Anacoco High School and was a very
talented and gifted person. In 1989, he moved to Remington, VA with his family where he worked as a plumbing supervisor around the state of Virginia.
In 2006, Carter moved back home to Anacoco and was a plumbing supervisor at Ameri
Tech Buildings and had worked at Ft. Polk. He loved his family and friends and would do anything he could to help them.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2009 in the Crystal Springs Baptist Church in
Anacoco with Rev. Gurvis Martin officiating. Burial will follow at a later date.
Visitation will begin on Friday, November 20, 2009 at 3 p.m. at
Crystal Springs until service time.
Mr. Martin was preceded
in death by his parents, Austin and Zelma Dean Goins Martin, two brothers, Edward Reid Martin and Carl Ray Martin.
Survivors are the mother of his children, Nora Martin of Remington, VA; two daughters and son in-law, Kimberly and T.J.
Furr and Cameron Martin, both of Remington, VA; two sons, Steven and Devin Martin, both of Remington, VA; two brothers, John Martin of Leesville and Calvin Martin of Anacoco; two sisters, Jeanette Martin of Anacoco and Debbie Gilcrease of Leesville;
three grandchildren, Taylor, Chase and Hayden Furr of Remington, VA and a host of nephews and nieces.
