Thomas Arthur Urquhart III(Lil Thomas) was born April 30, 1980, in Ft. Sill, Okla. to Thomas and
Josephine Urquhart. He departed his life on November 7, 2009.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher Allen, grandparents, the late T. A. Urquhart and Ola Mae Urquhart and Lee Butler.
Thomas graduated from
Leesville High School May, 1998. He attended Northwestern State University from 1998 to 2000. He was nominated for Who’s Who Among High School Students in 1998. He won an award for Literacy Art in 2008. Thomas worked for Christian Care Children’s
Center as a Food Service Specialist in Leesville.
He leaves to cherish his memory parents Thomas and Josephine Urquhart of DeRidder; grandmother, Elizabeth Butler of Pine Bluff, Ark.; one sister, Tywanna Urquhart-Kyse r(Michael) of
DeRidder; one brother, Lee Tyrell Urquhart of Lafayette; one niece, Jasmin Kyser and two nephews, Joseph and James Kyser, both of DeRidder; a special friend, Breanna Neal; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be at
10 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2009, at Interdenomination of Faith Church of the Living God, 1279 Pitkin Road, Leesville (idfgodfirstministry.org).
Burial will
follow in Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Visitation will be held from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2009, at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder, 2110 Hwy. 171, DeRidder.
