On Sunday, October 18, 2009, Johnnie P. Plummer, 70, of Anacoco passed away at his home with his family
by his side. He was a life resident of Anacoco and had worked as a carpenter for Penny’s Glass Co. for many years. He was a former Mason and had served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Cold Springs Baptist Church and attended Anacoco U.P.C.with
his wife of 50 years.
Services will be held on Wednesday, Oct 21, 2009 at 2 p.m. in the Anacoco
Pentecostal Church with Rev. C.W. Dowden officiating. Burial will follow in the
Mitchell Cemetery under the
direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 until service time
at the church.
Mr. Plummer was preceded in death by a son: David R. Plummer,
granddaughter
Farrah Lee, and his parents.
Survivors are his wife of 50 years, Delores Plummer; four daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Bo Carson, Tammy and Jeff Christensen, Codi and Mike Godwin, all of Anacoco and
Stacie and Donnie DeMary of Leesville; sisters, Carrie Ruth Mattox of Anacoco and Ima Lou Cavanaugh of Frierson; one brother, Buster Plummer of Leesville; and five grandchildren, Heath Caron, Mason Christensen, John David Christensen, Kaleb Godwin
and Hunter DeMary.
