Wayne C. Decker of Leesville, formally of South Sioux City, NE.
Wayne was born on September 20, 1936 and passed away on October 10, 2009 at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. He was the son of Clinton (Joe) and
Stella Decker. He married Donna Jean Salisbury in 1956, and they enjoyed 53 wonderful years of marriage.
Wayne served in U.S. Army and was discharged in 1959. He loved God, his country, family, friends and his work dearly. He was a
boy scout leader for years and helped his sons to achieve the high honor of Eagle Scout. He was a good neighbor and a wonderful friend to all he came in contact with.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Donna J. Decker, four sons; Clint
Decker and his wife Kay of Spearfish, SD, Bill Decker and his wife Marjorie of Leesville, Wade Decker, and Dan Decker and his wife Nancy of Sioux City, Iowa; one brother, Eugene Decker and his wife Sue; and one sister, Lucille Fox. He was preceded in
death by his parents and one brother Leroy Decker.
He adored his grandchildren Tiffani, Teri Jo, Jara, Justin, William Wayne, Jasmine, Daw, Jonie and Steven; great grandchildren Bree, Murphie and Lexie. Wayne also was loved by a host
of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Memorial service will be held in the Chapel at Smart & Son Friday Oct. 16, 2009 at 8 p.m. Visitation will start at 6 p.m. in the funeral home.
