Funeral services for Elder Willie E. Hayes, 60, of New Llano will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 22,
2009 at Johnson Temple Church Of God In Christ in Leesville, with Rev. Maurice Johnson officiating. The burial will follow in the Leesville Memorial Cemetery. Friends may visit Saturday, Aug. 22nd from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.
Services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Elder Hayes passed away on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009 at the VA Medical Center in Alexandria. Mr. Hayes was a member of the Johnson Temple Church of God In
Christ where is served as Assistant Pastor, Elder and Prison Ministry’s. He formerly worked at Saint Martin Deporres Rehab Center as the Assistant Administrator in Lake Charles; a Drug and Marriage Counselor at BJACH at Fort Polk and he also served
as an Interim Pastor at the Philadelphia Church Of God In Christ in Lake Charles. He retired as a SFC (E-7) from the US Army after serving 22 years. He currently was the supervisor of the personnel department at Fort Polk.
He is
survived by his wife of 31 years Joyce Hayes of New Llano, LA; sons Dennis Paul Pulliam of Corpus Christi, TX, Andre Eugene Hayes of Leesville, and Andrian Dwaine Hayes of New Llano; daughter Tandra Denise Pulliam Hillman of Killeen, Texas; parents
Willie G. & Mary J. Hayes of Sherman, Texas; brother Robert “Bobby” Hayes (wife, Ruth) of Plano, Texas; sisters Ruby Hayes of Dallas, Texas and Helen E. Williams of Sherman, Texas; God-daughter Felecia Miller of Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren
and three great grandchildren.
