Graveside services for Johnny R.
Murray, 61, of Kurthwood were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Comrade Cemetery in Hutton, with Rev. Wesley Jackson and Rev. Melton Mitchell officiating. Services were under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.

Johnny passed away Friday, Aug. 7 at the Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville.

He was a lifelong resident of Vernon Parish. He was a US Army veteran serving two tours in Vietnam. He was
a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He loved to camp and dig for arrow heads. He is known for playing his guitar and singing through out Vernon Parish. He was preceded in death by his parents, Saul Junior and Redith Edwards Murray and his
brother, Ronny Murray.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Shelly Murray of Kurthwood.
