Memorial services for Jimmy Wade Wolfenberger will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday July 31 at Hixson Funeral
Home of Leesville. Visitation will be held by the family at 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, July 30 at Hixson Funeral Home.
Mr. Wolfenberger, 69, a native of Bristol, Tennessee passed away peacefully at his residence in Leesville on
Tuesday, July 28, 2009.
Mr. Wolfenberger proudly served in the United States Army for 23 years. His distinguished service included 3 tours in Vietnam where he was awarded a silver star, two bronze stars and a purple heart. Upon
retirement, Mr. Wolfenberger and family made their home in Leesville where he made many friends.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Phyllis Wolfenberger of Leesville; his mother Fern Cantrell of Bristol, Tennessee; daughter Connie
Brumley of Texas; son Jeffrey and Mildred Owens of Leesville; daughter Marilyn and Leslie Dowden of Anacoco; grandchildren, Shannon and Charles Cotter, Shaun and Janice Ringersma, Melissa Dowden, Michael Dowden, Brittany and Brett Griffin, Jimmy
Owens and great grandchild Gavin Ringersma.
