Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Murphy will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2009 in the Chapel of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville with the Rev. Malcolm Jeane and M.C. Green officiating. Burial will follow in the East Leesville
Pentecostal Cemetery under the direction of Hixson of Leesville.
Visitation will be Wed, July 15, 2009 from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the funeral home.
Mrs. Murphy, 89 , passed away on Monday, July 13, 2009 in Leesville.
She had lived in Leesville most of her life at the bottom of Snuff Ridge community in Leesville. There she raised her family and was a homemaker and a Pastors wife.
She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Charlie F. Murphy;
daughter, Dottie Lou Murphy; and son, Charles Murphy.
Survivors are daughters and sons-in-law Sue Ann Ratliff and husband Larry of Monticello, Ken.; Ruthie Jones and husband Thomas of Hemphill, Texas; Linda Vincent and husband Maxie of
