Archie Walter Wilbert

Funeral services for Archie Walter Wilbert, Jr., 78, of Leesville will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday,
July 16, 2009 at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Bro. Andy Addison and Rev. Buddy Airhart officiating. The burial will follow in the Beech Grove Cemetery in Anacoco with full military honors. Friends may visit Wednesday, July
15 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a Rosary at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Mr. Wilbert passed away at his residence in Leesville on Monday, July 13. He
was born in Burlington, Vt. He retired from the US Army as a SFC, and was a veteran of the Vietnam War and Korean Conflict. Along with numerous awards, he was awarded the Bronze Star. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #240 and associated member of
the Eastern Star #26. He was also a member of the Caney Volunteer Fire Department for 19 years.

He is survived by his wife Florence Wilbert of Leesville; son Dennis Lee Wilbert of Burlington, Vt.; step-sons, David
Marshall of Kingman, Ariz., Brian Marshall of Leesville, Kenneth Marshall of New Ipswich, NH and Mark Keefe of Leesville; mother Florence Burleson of Richmond, Vt.; brother Richard A. Wilbert of Burlington, Vt.; two step grandchildren, Chandler and
Andrew Marshall; and special friends Jimmy and Robin Craft, Jr. and their children, Josh and Miranda; and nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Archie W. Wilbert, Sr. and his brother Steven
Burleson.
