Stancil Lafate Cleveland

Stancil Lafate Cleveland, 70, passed from this life on July 9, 2009 surrounded by his family and loved
ones. Stancil was born in Leesville, on June 12, 1939 and was a lifelong resident of the Leesville, Vernon Parish area.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stancil Green Cleveland; his mother, Mable Massey Kilmon and one brother,
Donald Ray “Buddy” Cleveland.
Left to treasure his memory are his loving wife of 52 years, Joy Cleveland; his daughters and families, Tammy and Larry Littleton, Sherry and Casey Lynn Cryer, Rita Cleveland, Mary and Eddie Thomas,
Vickie and Fred Sketoe and Stacie and Darron Craft; and his sister, Patsy Ruth Hicks.
He was blessed with seven beautiful grandchildren, Larryn and Kevin Bradford, Dakota and Tammy Cryer, Gett and Samantha Thomas, Tanner and Raelee
Craft and Vivian Rose Sketoe. He also had two precious great-grandchildren, Shelbee Bradford and Tyler Cryer. Stancil’s greatest joy in life was time spent with his family. He was a dedicated and loving Daddy and Paw Paw.
A private
graveside service was held on July 10, 2009 at 4 p.m. at Cooper Cemetery. The family asks that donations, in his memory, be made to Grace Home of Alexandria, 2170 Memorial Drive, Alexandria. 71301. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at
