Delma Pearl Ingalls

Delma Pearl Ingalls Tyrrell, 75, departed this life on July 7, 2009 at 11:08 a.m., while surrounded by
loved ones at her Leesville home. Tyrrell was born in Port Arthur, Texas on July 26, 1933 and grew up in central Louisiana. She enjoyed playing the piano, reading, writing, listening to gospel music, and entertaining friends and family. Tyrrell
worked as a civil servant for over 20 years before retiring and was an active member of Laurel Hill Baptist Church. She was known for her dedication to her family, unending generosity, determined spirit, and her steadfast faith in Christ. Funeral
services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday July 9 at Laurel Hill Baptist Church in Leesville. The burial will follow in the Laurel Hill cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral of Leesville.
Tyrrell was preceded in
death by her parents, George and Pearl Ingalls, and her granddaughter Kristin Jones. Those left to cherish Tyrrell’s memory include her husband of 57 years, Mr. Tom Tyrrell, Sr.; her three children and their spouses, Col. Tom Tyrrell, Jr. and his
wife Debbie, Cheryl Jarrell and her husband Leo, and Terri Tyrrell; grandchildren, James Hawkins, Jonathan Tyrrell and wife Julia, Kenneth Tyrrell, Chelsea Wilson and husband Grant, Laura Tyrrell, Jessica Devane, and Anthony Ingalls; three younger
siblings, Jerrell Ingalls, Marion Ingalls, and Selma Dugas; and her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loved ones, including Ms. Rose Ingalls of Leesville.
