Funeral services for Morley Lester Strutton, of Leesville will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 12, 2009
at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Bro. Dean Seabourn and Bro. Rickey Kay officiating. The burial will follow in the Toledo Bend Christian Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday, June 11 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral
home. Services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Morley Lester Strutton was born on July 14, 1921 to Grace E. Strutton and Joseph “Ben” Benjamin Strutton. He passed away on June 6, 2009 at the age
of 87 years.
He married on August 3, 1942 to Geraldine F. Brooks and was married for 66 years; born to them are two daughters, Kathlyn Carol (husband, Robert) Poteet of Florien, and Rene Rose (husband, Lonnie) Pardue of
Leesville.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1942-1945 in five battles in World War II. His life works included; meat butcher, cook, cabinet maker, home contractor, civil service carpenter. He also was a preacher at the following Church
Of Christ Churches in Iberia, Mo., Edgar Springs, Mo., Fenton, Mo., Dixon, Mo. and was a longtime member at White Park Church of Christ in Leesville, since 1985. Mr. Strutton was deeply loved by family and friends and will be missed by all who knew
him.
He is survived by his wife Geraldine Strutton, two daughters, eight grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, two great great grandsons and many friends.
