Funeral services for Dale Alan Cooley, 46, of Slagle, will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 27, 2009
at Antioch Baptist Church in Slagle with Bro. Morris Goins, Dr. Nickolai Alexandrenko and Bro. Durhl Davis officiating. The burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery in Slagle.
Friends may visit Tuesday, May 26, from noon until 9 p.m.
in the funeral home. Services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Dale was born May 10, 1963 in Leesville. He passed away on Friday, May 22, 2009, in Chama, New Mexico at the age of 46 years and 12
days.
Dale was an instrument tech for DuPont of LaPorte, Texas. He loved history and reading his Bible. He was a lifetime member of the NRA (National Rifle Assoc.) He was a member of the HOG (Harley Owner’s Group). He loved to see the
countryside on his motorcycle, and was very patriotic and loved his family and friends. Dale was preceded in death by his father, Carl Cooley.
Dale is survived by his mother, Mildred Cooley of Slagle; brothers, Glen Cooley of Slagle,
Kenneth Cooley (wife, Annie), of Owens Cross Roads, Ala, David Cooley of Slagle, Leroy Cooley (wife, Dynette) of Anacoco sisters, Shirley Kenyon (husband, Richard) of Grand Prairie, Texas, Marie Ross (husband, Jimmy) of Hornbeck, Patsy Seekins
(husband, Fred) of Baton Rouge and Barbara Dalton of Grand Prairie, Texas; two nephews Jeffrey Cooley and Ryan Dalton; six nieces; Tammie Thibodeaux, Kimberly Ross, Kassie Obelleiro, Tessa Patterson, Elaina Cooley, and Rebecca Cooley; one great
nephew, Caden Cooley, and one great niece, Madilyn Thibodeaux.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the National Rifle Association.
