EDITH MOSES GUIDRY

Edith Moses Guidry, age 83, passed away at 6:10 a.m.
on May 13, 2009 at Oak Park Doctors Care in Lake Charles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Guidry of Sulphur, and parents Barney H. Moses and Ruth Austin Moses of DeRidder.
Mrs. Guidry was born in
DeRidder on December 30, 1925. She resided in Sulphur for 58 years. She was a homemaker and assisted her husband in their businesses, Joseph Guidry Catering and Joseph Guidry rental properties. Her hobbies included sewing, embroidery, gardening,
baking and writing poetry.
Survivors include two sons, Daniel R. Guidry and wife Carolyn Hazell Guidry and Gary D. Guidry of Sulphur; two daughters, Sharon Beckcom and husband Mike of Leesville and Marilyn Hampton and husband Greg of
Lake Charles; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, her twin Ethel Kern of DeRidder and JoAnn Derrough of Hammond.
Her funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2009, in
Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Sulphur. Visitation will be on Friday, May 15, 2009, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until service time.
