Lucy Mae West, 67, of Rosepine passed away Friday, April 24, 2009 at Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. today, April 28, 2009 at Providence Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Best and
Lonnie Cleveland officiating.
Visitation will continue today until the time of the service in the church.
She was a member of Providence Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harrell R.
West; her parents James and Roxie Bailey; son, Rodney “Rocky” West; and two brothers L.C. Bailey and Willie Bailey.
She is survived by seven daughters, Sue Humphrey and husband Danny of Rosepine, Brenda Whittaker and husband Jeff of
Leesville, Roxie Young and husband Matt of Lakeview, Mich., Charlotte Smith and husband Keith of Rosepine, Katie Northern and husband Scott of Corsicana, Texas, Sharon Lambright and husband Steven of Trufant, Mich. and Candy West of Rosepine; seven
sons, Ronnie West and wife Camie of Leesville, Gary West and wife Carolyn of Rosepine, John West and wife Jackie of Rosepine, Darrell West and wife April of Rosepine, Jim West and wife Barbara, of Rosepine, Robert West and wife Tabatha of Rosepine
and Everett West and wife Carla of Gillette, Texas.
She was also survived by 77 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; two sisters, Tobitha Gill of DeQueen, Ark. and Mary Magaleen Beckwith of DeRidder; two brothers, Abraham Bailey and
J.C. Bailey, both of DeRidder; two sisters-in-law, Bertie Bailey of DeRidder and Pudin West of Humble, Texas and oldest nephew, Kevin Jackson and wife Jones of Providence.
