Christopher C. Willis, 59, from Pitkin passed from this life on April 23, 2009 in Cravens. Funeral
services will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Chapel of Leesville. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2009 beginning at 11 a.m. 9 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home and Wednesday beginning at 8 a.m. until the time of
the service. Ministers officiating will be the Revs. Joey Rudisill, Oliver Dean and Jeff James. Interment will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery in Cravens, under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.
Survivors include his loving
wife of 39 years, Belinda Ashworth Willis; two sons, Chris Willis of Rosepine, Timothy Willis and wife Teresa of Topeka, Kan.; one daughter, Jill Willis of Lafayette; three brothers-in-law, Andy Ashworth, of Sicily Island, Gary Ashworth of DeRidder
and Jack Ashworth of Oakdale; and numerous nieces, nephews and loving church family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy James Willis and Martin L. Willis. He was a native of the Pitkin area and graduated in 1967 from Pitkin High
School and a graduated of NSU where he met the love of his life, Belinda Ashworth. He worked for the LSU Research Extension Center for the past 33 years. He was an avid LSU fan and loved to mentor children through sports. C. C. was a Christian and a
